7th Grade Science for May 23rd through 27th, 2016

Greetings!

Hope you had a super Saturday & Sunday, but I do hope the weather's better for next weekend's three-day holiday.  And now here are this week's plans--

MONDAY--Students will work on a lab with the "air trolleys" and collect data.  They will also do a worksheet, which will be DUE AT THE END OF THE PERIOD, so NO HOMEWORK.

TUESDAY--Students will work with Mrs. Archibald on creating graphs based on the data they collected Monday.  This will be done on a worksheet that will be DUE AT THE END OF THE PERIOD, so again, NO HOMEWORK.

WEDNESDAY--Students will be MAP Testing on Math, so I will not see them in class.  NO HOMEWORK.

THURSDAY--Students will do a distance worksheet in class ("Road Race") which will be DUE AT THE END OF THE PERIOD.  They will also work on the FOSS website to reinforce this concept, so NO HOMEWORK.

FRIDAY--Students will take the POST TEST on EXAM #1 and the PRE-TEST for EXAM #2.  So NO HOMEWORK over the Memorial Day Weekend.

Please take a good close look at any missing assignments your student may have.  I fear he/she may be "going on vacation" about three weeks too soon.  Please discuss this with your child.  If he/she is planning on participating in sports next fall, one "F" on a report card equals TWO WEEKS OF  ELIGIBILITY and two or more "F's" equals THREE WEEKS OF ELIGIBILITY.  That means missing out on at least one game.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, and/or concerns you may have.  The best email address to reach me at is:  humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us and the phone number in my classroom is:  (360) 264-3644.

Have a wonderful week,
Michele Humble
