7th Grade Science Plans for April 30th through May 4th, 2018

Greetings!

Remember me?  No, I did not fall off of the face of the Earth; I'm still here.  It took me two weeks to grade all of the Science Notebooks, and then when I was ready to enter the scores, Skyward went down.  So I guess we had better go with the "Better late than never" philosophy.  Sorry about that--I will try to do better for the rest of the fourth quarter.

Here is what we are doing this week:

MONDAY--Students will work on their "Sun-Earth-Moon Models".  These are HOMEWORK DUE WEDNESDAY.

TUESDAY--Students will go over information in the textbook on pages 38-40, 43, and 44.  NO HOMEWORK.

WEDNESDAY--LATE START DAY--Students will watch "The Moon" video.  There will be an "in-class" worksheet to go with the video.  It will be DUE ON THURSDAY, so if students do not complete it in class, it is HOMEWORK.

THURSDAY--Students will work on a "Phases of the Moon" puzzle.  This is HOMEWORK DUE FRIDAY.

FRIDAY--Students will participate in the "Fund Run".  NO HOMEWORK.

I'm sure you know we have a "Late Start Day" this Wednesday and have made plans accordingly.

Also, Friday is the day of our "Fund Run".  Hopefully your student has been gathering pledges on his/her pledge sheet and will be ready to turn them in on Thursday, May 3rd.  All students will participate in the "Fund Run" on Friday, May 4th, whether they have gathered pledges or not.  (Of course if you are going to do the course anyway, might as well collect some money for your school, right?)  There will be prizes for top collectors, most laps, etc.  Should be fun.  If you wanted to help us out by volunteering, hopefully you turned in that sheet last Friday.  "Many hands make light work" as the old saying goes.

If you have any questions, comments and/or concerns, hopefully you will contact me ASAP.  The best phone number to reach me at is the one in my classroom (360-264-3644) and the best email address to reach me at is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us

Have a wonderful week,
Michele Humble
