Academy Plans for September 28th through October 2nd, 2015

Greetings!

Sorry this took me so long--the beginning of the school year always slams me, especially getting ready for Outdoor School (Cispus).  Allow me to introduce myself--I'm Michele Humble, your student's Science teacher.  I try to email your student's progress report to you at least every other week, so as you can see, I'm already two weeks behind.  I will try to do better in the future--so let's get on with it!

First of all, the plans for this week:

MONDAY--Students have been reviewing their cursive handwriting, so there will be two worksheets to be completed, these are HOMEWORK DUE TUESDAY.

TUESDAY--Another cursive writing worksheet.  This is HOMEWORK DUE WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY (LATE START DAY)--Students will complete the cursive writing review with a final worksheet.  This is HOMEWORK DUE THURSDAY.

THURSDAY--Students will work in groups and will be brainstorming solutions to a problem, so NO HOMEWORK.

FRIDAY--Students will be responsible for researching one literary genre & presenting it to the class today, so NO HOMEWORK.  (It is my policy to  NOT GIVE HOMEWORK OVER THE WEEKEND.)

Next, announcements:

Thursday evening, October 1st @ 7:00 p.m., there is a meeting for parents/guardians regarding our Outdoor School program.  PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND.  This is your time to find out all about the program, get your questions answered, pick up & fill out the forms, and even volunteer for some of the tasks that need to be done before we leave.  You can also pay your student's fee or find out about the available scholarships.  So please come if at all possible.

Don't forget that this Wednesday, September 30th is a "Late Start Day".  You are probably already aware of this, but thought I'd remind you, just in case.

Remember that Friday, October 2nd is our fundraiser, the "Fund Run".  Hopefully we will have nice weather as we will be outside for all of 6th & 7th periods.

Finally, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.  Here's my info:
