7th Grade Science Plans for December 4th through 8th, 2017

Greetings!

Hope you had a nice weekend--Here's what we will be doing in Science this week:

MONDAY--Students will work on writing a summary of an article in class.  This is HOMEWORK DUE TUESDAY.

TUESDAY--Students will be writing the procedure for Investigation 3.2, so NO HOMEWORK.

WEDNESDAY--Students will be carrying out Investigation 3.2 in class.  So again, NO HOMEWORK.

THURSDAY--Students will be writing on a summary on an article from the STC (the name of the Science program we use) website.  It is HOMEWORK DUE FRIDAY.

FRIDAY--Students will carry out Investigation 3.3, so NO HOMEWORK.

As you look over your student's progress report, please be on the lookout for missing assignments.  Nothing brings down a grade like a "0"; even an "F" is worth some points.  If you see an assignment that is missing, please discuss it with your student and maybe even make arrangements for that student to stay after school, come in early (I'm usually here by 7:30 a.m.) or make the work up during lunchtime.  Thanks!

I'm sure you have already made plans for our "Late Start" on Wednesday morning--just thought I'd remind you.

If you have any questions, comments, and/or concerns, please feel free to contact me.  The phone number in my classroom is (360) 264-3644 and the best email address to reach me at is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us

6th Grade Science Plans for December 4th through 8th, 2017

Greetings!

Hope you had a nice weekend--Here's what we will be doing in Science this week:

MONDAY--Students will be working on a worksheet entitled "Electricity Match Up".  This is HOMEWORK DUE TUESDAY.

TUESDAY--Students will be adding to the notes in their Science Notebooks, so NO HOMEWORK.

WEDNESDAY--Students will be doing some work on their Chromebooks at the STC website. (That's the name of our Science program.)  So again, NO HOMEWORK.

THURSDAY--Students will be working on an assignment called "Keeping Current & Electrifying Facts".  It is HOMEWORK DUE FRIDAY.

FRIDAY--Students will start working on their "Static Electricity Labs", so NO HOMEWORK.

Probably next Thursday, students will be taking the ELECTRICITY UNIT TEST.  Since this will be worth 100 points, it's not too early to start studying.  All of the notes we've taken in the Science Notebooks is a good place to start.  And reviewing the slideshow I emailed your student (entitled "Electricity Slide Show") is a good idea, too.  Making flashcards, oral drill, etc are all wonderful strategies.  Thank you for your support.

Thanks!
