Another busy week ahead with no breaks (holidays, late start days), so let's get straight to it.  Here's what to expect this week:

MONDAY--Originally I had planned a QUIZ on Concentration, but with the amount of work I want to return to students, I suspect that will be the only thing we will have time for, so NO HOMEWORK, however, we will REVIEW FOR WEDNESDAY'S QUIZ ON CONCENTRATION.

WEDNESDAY--Students will take the CONCENTRATION QUIZ, so NO HOMEWORK.

THURSDAY--Students will work on the "Chemical Reactions" lab, so NO HOMEWORK.

FRIDAY--Students will do the first part of the "Reaction Products" lab, so NO HOMEWORK.

I will be gone on Tuesday, so your student will have a substitute teacher that day.  Other than that, it will be a "normal week", if there is such a thing in middle school.

Please contact me straight away if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.  The best email address to reach me at is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us and the phone number in my classroom is (360) 264-3644.

6th Grade Science Plans for January 4th through 8th, 2016

Greetings!

Brrr! And hope you had a wonderful Winter Break.  Be sure to listen to the television & radios stations tomorrow morning--slippery roads might result in a late start.  If you are not already registered with "Flash Alert", I recommend you do so.  Just go to the Tenino School District website, under "Parent Information", select "Flash Alert" and it will give you step-by-step directions on how to do so.  It's great because it not only sends you an email, but you can sign up to receive text messages on your cell phone.  I'm signed up and often receive word through "Flash Alert" before I get the staff phone call and/or see it on tv.

Now here's what we will be doing this week:

MONDAY--Students will finish watching the Mythbusters episode we did not complete.  They will also get back previous assignments and we will go over them., so NO HOMEWORK.

TUESDAY--Students will review the salt saturation lab we did before the break and they will add some vocabulary words to their Science Notebooks, so again NO HOMEWORK.

WEDNESDAY--Students will work on the "Citric Acid Lab" in class; NO HOMEWORK.

FRIDAY--Students will work on the "Mystery Powder Lab", so NO HOMEWORK.

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me.  The phone number in my classroom is (360) 264-3644 and the best email address to reach me at is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us
