7th Grade Science Plans for January 18th through 22nd, 2016

Greetings!

Hope you enjoyed the three day weekend.  Our Leadership class put on a wonderful assembly on Friday about Martin Luther King, Jr.  Be sure to ask your student about it.  Now here is what we will be doing this week:

MONDAY--MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DAY--NO SCHOOL

TUESDAY--Students will work on adding notes to their Science Notebooks based on an article called:  "Cell: The Basic Unit of Life".  There is NO HOMEWORK.

WEDNESDAY--Students will take the MAP Test in Reading.  NO HOMEWORK.

THURSDAY--Students will work on two coloring sheets--one on the animal cell and one for the plant cell.  THIS IS HOMEWORK DUE FRIDAY.

FRIDAY--Students will analyze the similarities and differences from yesterday's work. This will be DUE AT THE END OF THE PERIOD, SO NO HOMEWORK.

You already know we had no school on Monday, and now you know that MAP testing begins this week.  This week's session will be on Reading and Language Arts.  Next week's testing will be Math, and will take place on Tuesday.  Also, remember that NEXT WEEK will be a LATE START ON WEDNESDAY.

Have a wonderful week, and please contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns you may have.  The best email address to reach me at is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us and the phone number in my classroom is (360) 264-3644.
