6th Grade Science Plans for May 9th through 13th, 2016

Greetings!

Hope you had a great weekend and that all "Moms" were appropriately pampered.  Just being a parent or guardian of a middle school student is a full-time job.  Isn't it amazing to think this year is already 5/6th over?  But just like someone running track, it is time for your student to go into his/her "kick" and pour it on.  It's not a time to relax; it's time to give it all you've got.  Now on to this week's plans:

MONDAY--Students will be making a map of the school from a "bird's eye view".  This is HOMEWORK DUE TUESDAY.  Remember:  Your student will be taking EXAM #1 ON FRIDAY, so START STUDYING THE VOCAB (in his/her Science Notebook) NOW!

TUESDAY--Students will begin reviewing for FRIDAY'S TEST.  Also, we will explore "Google Earth", so NO HOMEWORK.

WEDNESDAY--More REVIEW FOR FRIDAY'S TEST, so again, NO HOMEWORK.

THURSDAY--Students will explore "Sean's Rescue Quest" on the NASA website, so NO HOMEWORK.

FRIDAY--Students will take Exam #1, so NO HOMEWORK.

This is our second SBAC TEST WEEK, so again, please be sure your student is well rested and has had breakfast Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  This week students will be tested in Math.  Make-up test days are Wednesday & Friday--and NO "Late Start" this week.

Please contact me with whatever questions, comments, and/or concerns you may have.  The best email address to reach me at is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us and the phone number in my classroom is (360) 264-3644.

Have a wonderful week,
Michele Humble
