6th Grade Science Plans for May 2nd through 6th, 2016

Greetings!

Sorry I'm a day late--guess I'm NOT solar powered.  Big week, so let's get straight to the plans--

MONDAY:  Students will take notes in their Science Notebook, so NO HOMEWORK.

TUESDAY:  Students will further explore the NASA website, so NO HOMEWORK.

WEDNESDAY:  Students will receive a slide presentation on the Solar System from one of their peers.  (She has made her slide show herself and will present it herself for extra credit.)  So NO HOMEWORK.

THURSDAY:  Students will be on a "Space Scavenger Hunt" online, so NO HOMEWORK.

FRIDAY:  Students will watch a video on the solar system and follow along with a worksheet, which will be due at the end of the period, so NO HOMEWORK.

I'm sure you know Wednesday is a LATE START DAY and have made plans accordingly.
Also, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, & THURSDAY SBAC ELA TESTING DAYS (State Testing in Reading and Language Arts).  Please make sure your student gets a good night's sleep the evening before test days and eats well before tests.  I'm sure you noticed above that there is NO HOMEWORK THIS WEEK because I want the students well rested and alert for their test days.

If you have any questions, comments, and/or concerns, please feel free to contact me.  The best email address is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us and the phone number in my classroom is (360) 264-3644.

Have a wonderful week,
Michele Humble
