6th Grade Science Plans for May 1st through 5th, 2017

Greetings!

Well, we survived our second week of ELA SBA testing, so now we'll get a little time off before we tackle Math in a few weeks.  In the meantime, here's what we're doing in class this week:

MONDAY--Students will be adding notes to their Science Notebooks, so NO HOMEWORK.

TUESDAY--Students will begin doing research on the cell parts & their functions, so NO HOMEWORK.

WEDNESDAY--LATE START DAY--Students will use the microscopes to look at paramecium; the worksheets will be DUE AT THE END OF THE PERIOD.  NO HOMEWORK.

THURSDAY--Students will look at amoeba with the microscopes and turn in their worksheets AT THE END OF THE PERIOD, so NO HOMEWORK.

FRIDAY--Students will use their microscopes to look at euglena.  The worksheet will be DUE AT THE END OF THE PERIOD, thus NO HOMEWORK.

Hopefully your student told you I pushed the due date for the drawings of the Animal and Plant Cells to Monday, May 1st, and was working on it this weekend if it was not completed.  With the testing, I wanted to give everyone to do their best on this assignment.  I will be grading them later this week.

I'm sure you are already aware that Wednesday, May 3rd is a LATE START DAY, so I am sure you have made arrangements for that.

If you have any questions, comments, and/or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.  The best email address is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us and the phone number in my classroom is (360) 264-3644.

Have a wonderful week,
Michele Humble
