Sixth Grade Science for January 5th through 9th, 2015

Greetings!

Hope you enjoyed the two week break!  Now it's time to buckle down & muscle on through to the end of this semester--the last day is Thursday, January 29th and there is no school on Friday, January 30th.  So here are the plans for this week:

MONDAY--We will finish watching a video we started prior to the break, so there is no homework today.

TUESDAY--Students will receive some of their assignments back along with the last quiz, so we will "review & refresh" concepts we have previously covered.  No homework.

WEDNESDAY--We will begin studying Concentration in the "Soft Drink Recipe Lab".  No homework.

THURSDAY--We will continue working on Concentration with the "Salt Concentration Lab", so no homework.

FRIDAY--Students will begin drawing four different kinds of crystals in class.  We will continue this on Monday.  IF STUDENTS DON'T GET THIS DONE IN CLASS, THEY MADE NEED TO STAY AFTER SCHOOL NEXT WEEK TO COMPLETE THEIR DRAWINGS.

Remember that NEXT WEEK Wednesday (January 14th) will be a LATE START DAY, plus we will be doing our mid-year MAP testing 1st & 2nd periods on January 13th (Reading) and 15th (Math).  Please make sure our students are well rested & ready to go for these tests.  Thank you for your support.

Also, I have an appointment Friday afternoon, so I will be leaving at about 11:30; this is midway through 4th period, so that class will have a substitute for about half of the period.

As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me [email address:  humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us or classroom telephone number:  (360) 264-3644].

Have a great week,
Michele M. Humble
