6th Grade Science Plans for February 29th through March 4th, 2016

Greetings!

In just one week I am a day late (and a dollar short) on emailing progress reports as well behind on my grading--how can that happen so quickly?  (My husband says it's because I work my students so hard--I'm sure they would agree.)  Well, let's get on to what's happening this week:

MONDAY--This is the last day to complete the "Mixtures & Solutions" Unit Test.  Students will also complete an assignment on the "Periodic Table" worksheet.  This is DUE AT THE END OF THE PERIOD, so NO HOMEWORK.

TUESDAY--Students will use their Chromebooks at the FOSS website to practice what they've learned in the "Mixtures & Solutions" unit, so NO HOMEWORK.

WEDNESDAY--Students will watch a video on how to use a microscope, so again, NO HOMEWORK.

THURSDAY--Students will begin the Microscope Unit by working on Lesson #1.  This will be DUE AT THE END OF THE PERIOD, so NO HOMEWORK.

FRIDAY--NO SCHOOL

Hopefully you were already aware there will be no school this Friday, and have planned accordingly.
With the end of the trimester right around the corner, I want you to be very aware that THE LAST DAY FOR MISSING WORK, LATE WORK, AND/OR EXTRA CREDIT IS FRIDAY, MARCH 11th. Please have your student plan accordingly.

Speaking of the SBAC, there are some wonderful resources online.  Here is the URL that will send you to their site: http://wa.portal.airast.org/students-and-families/  This is for students and THEIR PARENTS as well.  Please take a brief visit to see what's available to you as well as your student.

If you have any questions, comments, and/or concerns, please contact me.  The best email address is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us and the phone number in my classroom is (360) 264-3644.

Have a wonderful week,
