6th Grade Science Plans for February 19th through 23rd, 2018

Greetings & Brrrr!

Hope you're enjoying our cold & snowy weather--makes for some interesting driving.  Here are the plans for the week:

MONDAY & TUESDAY--Mid-Winter Break--NO SCHOOL

WEDNESDAY--LATE START DUE TO SNOW--Students will be getting back assignments, so no new homework, however their "Parts of a Cell Worksheet & diagrams for Plant & Animal Cells" will be DUE THURSDAY.

THURSDAY--After correcting yesterday's assignment, students will be watching a video on parts of a cell.  NO HOMEWORK.

FRIDAY--Since may AVID students will be gone on their field trip, this will be a "catch up day" for the remaining students, so NO NEW HOMEWORK.

Many of my students are AVID students who will be going on their big field trip to the University of Oregon and Oregon State University on Friday.  If your student is one of them, please be sure to get all necessary paperwork turned in on time.  That will be a terrific field trip--would hate to see any student miss it.

FYI, I will be gone for part of Thursday and all day Friday.  Mr. Nelson, our building guest teacher will be in charge of my classes.  Students know this is an excellent opportunity to earn extra "Humble Bucks" and class shields.  If you need to communicate with me, email will be the best way while I am gone.

Please be aware of the cold predictions this week, and stay turned for further late starts and/or closures.  The Tenino School District website is an excellent source of information, assuming you have electricity.

As always, please feel free to contact me with questions, comments, and/or concerns.  The phone number in my classroom is 360-264-3644 and the best email address to reach me at is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us

Have a wonderful, wintry week,
Michele Humble
