6th Grade Science Plans for February 12th through 16th, 2018

Greetings!

No, I did not fall off the edge of the Earth--between grading papers, the end of the term, and Knowledge Bowl, I have been swamped.  But!  Report cards are now in the mail, and this is the last week of Knowledge Bowl, so from now on, I should have no more excuses.  So here are the plans for this week:

MONDAY--Students worked on Investigation 3.2, which is a lab.  However there were FOUR QUESTIONS on the worksheet that should be considered HOMEWORK DUE TUESDAY.

TUESDAY--Students will take the Pre-Test on cell parts and their functions.  They will also complete the quiz they started last Friday.  This will be turned in with two other assignments from last week, so look for THREE GRADES to go in your student's Science grade soon.  NO HOMEWORK.

WEDNESDAY--LATE START DAY--Students will watch a video on cells.  NO HOMEWORK.

THURSDAY--Students will take notes on cell parts and their functions in their Science Notebooks, so NO HOMEWORK.

FRIDAY--Students will read pages 49-51 in the textbook and will answer Question #10 (a-d) on page 48.  This should be completed in class, so NO HOMEWORK.

Just a reminder that this Wednesday (2/14) is a LATE START DAY.  Hopefully you have already made arrangements for that.  And remember that NEXT WEEK is Mid-Winter Break, so there will be NO SCHOOL MONDAY, FEB. 19TH & TUESDAY, FEB. 20TH.

Also, please be on the look out for the first semester report cards--they should be in the mail if you haven't already received them.

Please contact me with any questions, comments, and/or concerns you may have.  The phone number in my classroom is (360) 264-3644 and the best email address to reach me at is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us

Have a wonderful week,
Michele Humble
