6th Grade Science Plans for November 2nd through 6th, 2015

Greetings!

I'm almost all caught up on my grading! Phew!  That feels really great.  Now on to this week's plans:

MONDAY--Students will finish watching the Scientific Method video (Mythbusters), then we will finish adding atom notes to the Science Notebook, so NO HOMEWORK.

TUESDAY--Students will learn to use the Periodic Table of the Elements, compasses, and will go over the scoring rubric for the Atom Models.  So again, NO HOMEWORK.

WEDNESDAY--LATE START--Students will watch a video on Atoms.  There will be a worksheet to go along with this; it will be DUE AT THE END OF THE PERIOD.  NO HOMEWORK.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY--Students will begin working on their Atom Models.  These will be DUE MONDAY.

I'm sure you noticed above that this week has a LATE START ON WEDNESDAY.  Hopefully you are prepared for that.  Also, NEXT WEEK Veterans' Day falls on Wednesday, November 11th, so there will be NO SCHOOL that day.

Certainly enjoyed the conferences last week--thank you for attending.  Even though conference week is over, if you would like to "visit" about your student's progress, problems, or anything else, please contact me and we will set a meeting time.  My email address is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us and the phone number in my classroom is (360) 264-3644.

Have a wonderful week,
Michele Humble
