Seventh Grade Science Plans for November 17th through 21st, 2014

Greetings!

What a beautiful (but cold) weekend it was!  Hope you enjoyed it. And--hooray!--we will have a "regular week" (if such a thing exists at a middle school).  Here is what to expect this "Movember" week:

MUSTACHE MONDAY--Students will begin a lab ("Is Anything Alive in Here?"), so no homework.

BLUE TIE TUESDAY--Students will continue on the lab and will go online to the FOSS website to play the "Living or Nonliving Game.  No homework.

BLUE SPORTS TEAM WEDNESDAY--Students will complete the "Is Anything Alive in Here?" lab and will add some vocabulary words to their Science Notebooks, so no homework, but they should STUDY FOR THE QUIZ THAT WILL BE ON THURSDAY.  This means bringing his/her Science Notebook home to study today (Wednesday).

DENIM THURSDAY--Students will take the first quiz for the "Diversity of Life" unit.  It will be due at the end of the period and no homework.

BLUE OUT FRIDAY--Students will work on answering comprehension questions from the "Life on Earth" article. THIS ASSIGNMENT WILL BE DUE ON MONDAY.

The only "announcement" I can think of right now is that I will be gone on Friday, but I have the same substitute teacher as before, and it sound like the students & she got along famously.  As always, if you have a question, comment, or concern, please feel free to contact me.  My email address is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us  and the phone number in our classroom is (360) 264-3644.

Have a wonderful week,
Michele Humble
