6th Grade Science Plans for May 22nd through 26th, 2017

Greetings!

Wow!  What wonderful weather we're having.  Sure glad we have air conditioning.  So to weather this weather, here's what we will be doing this week:

MONDAY--Students will complete their "Cell Models" which will be due at the end of the period, so NO HOMEWORK.

TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY--Students will begin working on the Cell video and worksheet.  This will be done in class, so NO HOMEWORK.

THURSDAY--SBA Math PT Testing.  NO HOMEWORK.

FRIDAY--Continuation of the SBA Math PT Testing.  NO HOMEWORK.

Just a reminder with these warm temperatures:  With your student you might want to review the "Dress Code" in the Student Handbook you received at the beginning of the school year.  Shorts must be below the middle finger when hanging down along the thighs.  Strapless tops and spaghetti straps are not allowed, and tank tops must be at least three inches wide on the shoulders.  Please make your student aware that his/her job is school, and he/she should dress "professionally" for it.  Thank you for your support.

This is the last week of our State Testing (SBA Math PT).  For sixth graders this will happen on Thursday, May 25th, and will probably carry over to Friday, May 26th.  Please make sure your student is well rested, and has had a good breakfast on "Test Day".  These scores could affect your student's placement in his/her classes next year, so we want him/her to do their best.

I'm sure you're aware that Memorial Day takes place next Monday, May 29th, and there is NO SCHOOL.  Hope you have some fun family plans in the works!

As always, please contact me with any questions, comments, and/or concerns you may have.  The best email address to reach me at is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us and the phone number in my classroom is (360) 264-3644.

Have a wonderful (but not too warm) week,
Michele Humble
