6th Grade Science Plans for October 24th through 27th, 2016

Greetings!

Well, back to a "normal" week--If there is such a thing in middle school.  Here's what we will be doing this week:

MONDAY--Students will evaluate their Cispus experience (ODS Evaluation form) which will be due at the end of the period, so NO HOMEWORK.

TUESDAY--We will carry out the "Mentos & Diet Coke Lab", so NO HOMEWORK.

WEDNESDAY--Students will record their observations from yesterday's lab and will graph the data.  So again, NO HOMEWORK.

THURSDAY--Students will be introduced to the "HY-HI-LO-SO-Wrap It Up" format of conclusion writing.  This will complete the Lab Report, which will be DUE FRIDAY.

FRIDAY--Students will review taking notes.  They will take notes on a video about atoms.  This will be DUE AT THE END OF THE PERIOD, so NO HOMEWORK.

You will be receiving your student's "Mid-Term Grades" shortly.  This means we are half way through the first trimester.  If you or your student is not satisfied with these grades, it's not too late to change them.  Usually, what drags a student's grade down the most, are missing assignments.  Please double check to see if your student has any and if so, get the work completed and turned in as soon as possible.

Also, if you would like to schedule a conference (November 7th through 10th), please contact the Office (360-264-3600).  Those evening conferences usually fill up first, so if you need one of those, you may want to call and/or email very soon.

If you have any questions, comments, and/or concerns, please contact me as soon as possible.  The best phone number to reach me is (360) 264-3644 and the best email is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us

Have a wonderful week,
Michele Humble
