7th Grade Science Plans for March 21st through 25th, 2016

Greetings!

And welcome to Trimester #3.  I believe you are seeing your student's grades for Trimester #2, so it's "What You See, Is What You Get on Your Report Card".  Please correct me if I'm wrong--actually, I would appreciate an email confirming that IS what you are seeing.  Now on to this week's plans:

MONDAY--We will go over several previous assignments the students will receive back in class, so NO HOMEWORK.

TUESDAY--Students will complete the "Leaf & Stem Observation Lab" in class.  It will be due at the end of the period, so NO HOMEWORK.

WEDNESDAY--LATE START DAY--Students will take the EXAM #6 POST TEST and the EXAM #7 PRE-TEST, so NO HOMEWORK.

THURSDAY--Students will read the article "Flowers to Seeds" and will do the worksheet that accompanies it.  That is HOMEWORK DUE FRIDAY.

FRIDAY--Students will watch the video on flowers and will do the worksheet that goes with the program.  It will be due at the end of the period on Friday, so NO HOMEWORK.

Just a reminder that Wednesday is a "Late Start Day".  Also, the "hard copies" of your student's report card will be mailed out on April 1st (Ironic?), so please be on the lookout for them after that date.
Also, NEXT WEEK are the "Student Led Conferences" from Tuesday through Thursday.  The school schedule for that week is "Early Release Days" Tuesday through Friday; please plan accordingly.  If you have not been contacted for a time yet, please contact the Office at (360) 264-3600 to set up a time.  This is my second favorite week of the year (behind Outdoor School, of course)--gives the students a chance to "strut their stuff".
Finally, in 7th Grade Science, we will be dissecting flowers on Monday.  IF YOU HAVE ANY THAT YOU WOULD CARE TO DONATE OR COULD PURCHASE SOME DAFFODILS TO DONATE FOR OUR DISSECTION, that would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance for your generosity.

If you have any questions, comments, and/or concerns, please contact me.  The best email address is humblem@tenino.k12.wa.us and the phone number in my classroom is (360) 264-3644.

Have a wonderful week,
Michele Humble
