Science Plans for June 9th through 13th, 2014

Greetings!

Well, things are winding down now, but there are still some assignments to go.  Also, I just wanted to remind you that THE LAST DAY FOR MISSING/LATE WORK & EXTRA CREDIT IS FRIDAY, JUNE 13TH.  Now here's what's happening this week:

MONDAY--The HOMEWORK assignment is Chapter 2 Section 4.  Students will have work time on this in class, but it is DUE TUESDAY.

TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, & FRIDAY--I like to wind down our Astronomy unit by watching "Apollo 13".  We watch, stop, and discuss as we go.  I know it is rated PG-13, and this is mostly for the swearing (sorry about that) and the suspense.  I believe despite the rating, it's a story the students should hear.  If you do not want your student to participate, just let me know, and I will arrange for your child to work on an alternate assignment in the library.  Obviously no homework assignments on these days.

THURSDAY--My Honor Society students will be going on their well earned trip to Seattle, so there will be no homework assignment.  Since I don't want them to miss any of the movie, the rest of us will do some space demonstrations, and possibly look at the NASA website.

Just a reminder that next Friday (June 13th) at 6:00 p.m. the 2014 class of Tenino High School will be graduating at Beaver Stadium.  If you are planning on attending, be sure to get there early, the place is packed.

Have a wonderful week,
Michele Humble
