Greetings!
I know this is not really a progress report; the students have not turned in any work yet, but I wanted to start out Quarter #3 on time. I believe the report cards will be mailed out this week, so please be on the lookout for them. So below is what we will be doing this week:
ART--We are still working on a project that has carried over from last quarter, "Create-A-Creature", so that will be our focus this week. Monday through Wednesday, students will work on the artwork (in oil pastels), the text (a narrative describing their creature), and then on Thursday they will decorate the frame. Friday, when I am gone, they will read our Art magazine for February (no homework).
The students already know that I will be gone on Friday, February 7th (training in Seattle). Also, remember that next Wednesday is a "Late Start" day, and there is no school Friday, February 14th through Monday, February 17th. Enjoy the midwinter break.
